Quality care of dying patients begins with the IDT at the bedside. This session will discuss the current federal hospice regulatory environment and affect on hospice providers.
This session will explore why QAPI and quality reporting is an important component of each IDT staff members job and how performance outcomes could affect hospice operations going forward. As well as how you can learn to speak the language of the IDT and gain an organization full of compliance officers.
Workshop goals and objectives:
- Present the current federal hospice regulatory environment and affect on hospice providers.
- Discuss IDT member role in the hospice quality program including components of quality reporting.
- Brainstorm how IDT staff can make a difference in quality reporting and quality hospice care delivery.
